The reality of performing

You train your craft.
It’s time to train your mind.

Auditions, recitals, and major performances come with immense pressure. Whether you’re stepping into a sterile audition environment or navigating the daily demands of a conservatoire, performance anxiety and mental burnout are real barriers to showing your true potential.

You don’t have to navigate that pressure alone.

nomy is the tool I wished I had standing in the wings. Not a meditation app — a structured, clinically-grounded routine, in your pocket, when it matters most.

The person behind nomy

Meet Hannah

Hannah Sandison is a lyric mezzo-soprano and performance psychology consultant — and she built nomy because she lived the challenges of consistent pressure in training and a performance career.

Trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Royal College of Music, Hannah has performed at Glyndebourne, the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and on stages across Europe. She knows from the inside what it feels like to stand in the wings before a high-stakes performance — and what happens when the mind works against you.

To close that gap, she completed an MSc in Performance Psychology at Bangor University, conducting original research on resilience in opera singers with the Institute for Psychology of Elite Performance. She went on to found Sound Performance Psychology, combining counselling skills with an evidence-based approach rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Today Hannah works one-to-one with performers, speaks at industry events, appears as a media commentator, and delivers workshops and seminars at conservatoires and opera companies across Europe.

nomy is the distillation of that work — the tool Hannah wished she had on every first night. Built for performers, by a performer.
